Sistacircle: Every Tuesday at 10am PT/1pm ET/5pm UTC

Sistacircle is a weekly, drop-in support group for women survivors of male violence. Rooted in feminist theory and community care, this circle is a space for healing, reflection, and resistance. Free and peer-led, it centres survivors, especially Indigenous women, in their own liberation. Join us for some consciousness raising with a twist. If you want more information, check the bottom of any Sistacircle post below for frequently asked questions!

Feminist Group Process

You are warmly invited to a circle exploring dynamics and interactions in feminist group work. We'll be sharing our thoughts on communication styles, group norms and hierarchies, handling disagreement, developing friendships and embracing personal growth.

Questions To Consider

  • What is your communication style? Does your communication style change in group settings verses one-to-one interactions? Does your communication style depend on the context?
  • Are you currently participating in any feminist based groups or feminist social meet ups where you are experiencing difficulty with group processes? For example, maybe others communication styles don't match yours or you're frustrated with the lack of goal completion.
  • What does collectivity, authority, leadership and consensus mean to you in relation to feminist group process?
